Ordering catalogues online

I have just done a credit rating search and found that when you order a catalogue from Fifty Plus fashion, they do a credit check on you even though you just want the catalogue. The first one I ordered didn't arrive, so I ordered another one, and unknowingly this resulted in 2 credit checks, and has affected my credit rating. Although I have never applied for a credit account from them ,they refuse to take the checks off, BEWARE, as I understand they are not the only ones to do this!
