Broadband in North Devon/ North Cornwall

Hi,

I’d be grateful for some advice from anyone but particularly those living in the North Devon/North Cornwall area.

My Mother in law, who lives in a small village just outside Bude, is desperately in need of a broadband connection but is on a tight budget and cannot afford to pay more than £25 a month for an all-in telephone/broadband package, preferably with some calls included. She’s very wary of going on to broadband as she’s heard from some friends that some services are very intermittent etc.

Can anyone recommend a relatively cheap and reliable service? TalkTalk looks good on the surface but what is people’s experience?

Stick her phone number or postcode in here - http://www.samknows.com/broadband/checker2.php and see what's available first. If you click on BT ADSL in the summary it will say what speeds are possible (very approx.).
