    The thing is, the mum who does the mega cool playdates, her little girl is an only child and I think they're trying to overcompensate for that by doing all the "Oh look how much fun the children are having". Which is fine if that's what they want to do (I actually like the mum, even though I think she's slightly mad for doing all this), but in the real world, kids should be able to just play.

  • Oooh, this reminded me of when I was little and had friends over, we spent many happy hours building a "tent" indoors with chairs, blankets etc. If we were lucky we even got to eat our lunch in there!
