Special treat for 13,11 & 9 yr old girls ?

Hi all

I'm stuck for ideas and thought i'd turn to the wonderful world of MSE for help.

As some of you know, i split up with OH about 6 months ago. He has 3 daughters (13, 11 & 9yo) who i have stayed in contact with (because thats what they, me, their dad and their mum all want). Anyway, i've taken them out approx once a week for the last few months, usually to the park after school or bowling / ice skating etc on a saturday morning.

Anyway, i've been away with work a fair bit lately and i havent been able to see them as much as i'd like. I know they have been missing me a lot. I want to take them somewhere special on Saturday - i have kept the whole day free and want to make good use of it.

So - any suggestions? I am based in Leeds but happy to drive 1-2 hours for something good. I thought maybe The Deep in Hull? Or a theme park with zoo? I have seen York Maze advertised on TV - has anyone been there?

Thanks

  • Flamingo Land is awesome and these kids are a great age for that. Been told that the deep is not that good, although i have never been myself. Lightwater Valley is somewhere around there too I believe.
    Loving the dtd thread. x
  • Local tourist information will have money off vouchers I should think. Just put the places into the route planner and Flamingo land is 1hr 20 mins and Lightwater just 50 mins.

2nd the idea for forbidden corner, as long as people don't mind a little scare or getting wet. If wet how about Magna at sheffield?
