can a DCA issuse a defualt on you or does it have to be the lender themself?
Also is there a way of getting this removed as it was 3rd party issusing it

Does the DCA now own the debt?
If so then they can issue a default.
The only way you MAY be able to get this removed is if they do not have a valid copy of the customer credit agreement. If they do not have this then they cannot prove they had your permission to share your details with the credit reference agencies - this would be against the Data Protection Act.After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
