Restaurants to avoid

OK, to kick this thread off:

Quincy's in Lisburn - we were kept waiting tonight for 50 minutes, just for a main course of 2 burgers and 2 chicken dishes (which obviously just had to be deep fried).

Also, to the waiter who brought the food:

"May I have a glass of water please?"
"No, ask someone else." :o:o

And when the glass of water did arrive, it was thumped down on the table as if they didn't want us bothering them any more.

Avoid!

Not just that Quincy's - all of them!
I find it a complete rip off. The food is wick - just a load of deep fried stuff ughhhhh!
The Early Bird special is not even good value.

Sorry - should add that although I don't like the food nor do I think it's good value, all of the staff were very nice and provided a good service.

    Rose,
You have to remember that Quincys sells itself as an American Diner which is exactly what it delivers. Its one of those things you either like or you hate ... I can take it occasionally (we were actually at the Bangor one at the weekend ... and their Pizza was surprisingly nice). Haute Cuisine it isn't but then again what do you expect for under £10 per head?

Half-decent service and less than a 50 minute wait possibly?
  • I'm going to disagree with rose999 here........

Quincy's in Lisburn, the fair few times I have eaten in it has been superb. No long wait, pleasant staff and nothing too much trouble. Sounds like you caught them on a rare off night. Can happen in the best of restaurants :-/

Yeah lousy food but the drink prices are very good.
  • But I would not go to a restaurant for a drink. I would go to a bar.
