Mitchum deodorant?
Comments
-
I've been using Mitchum for years with no problems, but my Sister, who also used to use it, developed some rashes.
Her GP recommended Mum (the Grey one) as it's appartently the only deo-anti-p on the market that doesn't have aluminium in it. At least I think it's the aluminium - sorry to be vague, I can't remember quite what the ingredient is.
Sis has since used only this with no probs. GP recommended it for anyone with underarm skin sensitivity.
May have been mentioned before - haven't read entire thread.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
CWTA - I'm pretty sure Bionsen is aluminium-free as well
I don't know if it's any good, though.

Yes, there's quite a few without aluminium in them I think (certainly the one I use is) but - given that aluminium is the stuff that seems to make Mitchum so effectively anti-perspirant - can anyone recommend some aluminium-free brands which are an effective deodorant AND anti-perspirant?
'Careful with that Axe' (!), does your sister think that Mum is good for both? I'd be interested to know. Thanks.0 -
I love Mitchum - espesh with vouchersd for money off or from HOme Bargains - it does last ages. BUT periodically , and I don;t have a clue whym, I'lo get a 'pit reaction' for a few days, almost like a burn. I usually switch and then go back with no problems for months....?0

As far as I know. She suffers from "flushes" associated with not being able to control internal body temp with result in heavy perspiration (why we both used Mitchum).
As it's something she was very conscious of, I doubt she would have continued using it unless she found it effective for both. I will double-check next time I speak to her and let you know. She has mentioned she has trouble finding the grey Mum in the shops sometimes so stocks up when she sees it.
I've stuck with Mitchum as I haven't had any probs with skin reactions and am a bit too scared to change!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
I came to the conclusion that if I kept a mitchum roll on too long it would sometimes give me a rash( I have sensative skin),but now there are 2 of us using it,it gets used up quicker and I haven't had this problem.0

I use Mitchum and have very sensitive skin. No probs at all. I do find the roll-on needs washing from time to time, though, as the roll-on gets smelly. Or am I just really really wfiffy that it contaminates the ball??????????????
BIONSEN does not contain aluminium and is the only thing my hyper-sensitive OH can tolerate. He can't even use the 'natural' stuff.0 -

Yes lynseydee - the offer's still on at Tesco (ends on the 7th I think, though it might be tomorrow). I have used the online voucher in one branch of Tesco, but another refused to accept it, so if you were planning to buy it anyway you might as well take a voucher and try your luck.
