"The call connection fee for all non–inclusive calls will increase from 6p to 7p, unless a separate connection fee is specified. This change will affect "Free Weekend Talk", "Offpeak Talk" and "Anytime Talk" families of tariffs. "

So much for Ofcom's assertion that competition will force prices down - they all just play follow-the-leader now.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

TalkTalk is raising its connection fee from 6p to 7p also - but on 1st October - a different date - so no 'collusion' there then... (I imagine if we asked BT they'd be doing the same too..).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

BT increase theirs to 7p on the 16/9/2008.
