Anyone think of uses for 100's and 1000's?

Hi all you oldstylers, I have a quick question for you.

Having got very carried away by Tesco's wonderful offer on their cake decorating bits, I am now the proud owner of about 20 tubs of hundreds and thousands, sugar strands and silver balls!:eek::eek:

Now, I love baking but I don't think even my kids could eat that many decorated fairy cakes so I was wondering if any of you clever peeps could think of any other uses for them.

Thank you muchly, Dumpling xxx

Start up a part-time ice-cream round. You'll have to select a jingle for your van though.

One word: edible Christmas cards. :rotfl:
    I have no signature.
  • i made a bday cake and covered the board in 100 & 1000's was very effective.

fairy cakes i put a spoonful of mixture then cover in a good layer of 100 & 1000's then another spoonful of mixture makes a nice surprise colourful layer when you bite in.

I give a sprinkle on top of things like ready brek as a treat now and again these melt on the top makes it pretty.

    same on custard

At my daughter's birthday party, we bought some small cup cakes, and just had a table with the cakes, some "runny icing", and lots of sugar strands, chocolate flakes, etc. The kids loved decorating their own cakes, and it was an extra little something for them to take home in their party bags.

Wow, thanks everyone - some great ideas there (loving the fairy bread idea!)

What about the silver balls though, come on , I know there are a lot of creative people on this board - all ideas encouraged (but not necessarily acted on!) LOL

Thanks again, Dumpling (wanders off dreaming of own icecream van)
