Hi, I am relatively new to sky as we dont have very good reception where I have moved to.

Whenever an advert or change of screen happens on my TV (Sony CRT) there is approx 3-4 second delay in sound.


I have a 5.1 sound system attached but if I mute that and turn up volume on TV it still happens (although I don't think that it is quite so pronounced)

Is this normal.

    No it's not normal but I don't know what's causing it, sorry !

    No not normal, I would suggest that you try re-connecting everything at the back of the receiver, also try unplugging it, leaving it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in again.

    We sometimes get sound going out of sync on digital terrestial tv. Going up a channel then back down again solves it.
    Try Inactive's suggestion. If this does not work then get in touch with Sky (assuming that your equipment is less than 12 months old.)
