Renting - Advice on Budget dilemma please?

Hiya
This is my first post here, so I hope you'll all be gentle with me, and if I've posted in the wrong place, politely shove me in the direction of the right board!
I would really appreciate your advice on a dilemma I'm facing.
I've been looking at renting a flat, and I don't know whether to go for the small-to-average 1-bed flat that is 'just' within my budget, or the tiny (but apparently good-quality) studio flat that costs £100 less.
If I go for the higher price, most of the white goods will be included, but I'll have to supply my own white goods in the tiny studio - is it just 'swings and roundabouts'?
Also, would it be wiser to go with the studio in the short term in order to save some money and see how the housing/economical situation looks in six months/a year?
I'm really confused, and the one person I would normally confide in is the person I'm moving away from
Can anyone advise me?
thanks

Hi PBS,
As someone who has rented the tiniest studio in the past I always prefer this option as its always good to have a bit of slack in your finances...but its not for everyone - especially if you have lots of stuff (or might want to have people to stay a lot).
Is location different for the places? This is usually the swing factor for me! Don't forget bills will be bigger on a 1 bed flat as well.
I guess it comes down to which one you feel you could live in for 6 months a year, but look at them both (and more) before you decide if you can.0 -
You simply need to sit down and work out which will cost you more. If finances are the only difference, and the difference in price will be minimal, then go for the larger property! Add up the cost of buying/renting white goods for the studio, and add these costs to the rent. Is there a big difference?0
