Assuming you're using Windows, rip the DVD onto your computer with this:
http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/
and then convert it to mp4 using this:
http://handbrake.fr/0 -
If you already have files on your Pc such as AVI etc then use this Ultra mobile 3GP converter.....fast and bloody simple
If you download that then send me a Pm for the PWIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -

Yup, use dvd decrypter in IFO mode - this allows you to "rip" either a whole film or episode by episode, etc.
If handbrake doesn't do it for whatever reason, I can also recommend using Auto Gordian Knot for making up MP4 files... just choose the XVID codec, and experiment with quality settings / file sizes.

Apologies if this is a stupid question but... I have a Tevion 8875 and have also been struggling to get videos onto it. What is the AMV video format and can I convert DVDs into AMV files using these programmes?0

I use Eahoosoft DVD Ripper, fast speed and work fine0
