AVG Free Crashing when doing scan..

AVG 8 Free crashing when doing scan on infected pc.

So took hard drive out and put it in second pc as slave drive.

Now crashing the other pc when I scan. How can this be?
What sort of virus crashes computer whenever virus is not even running?

    why not try another of the free AV packages and see how you get on.

    I went with nod32's online scanner. I will update details as soon as it does it's thing.

    after being a avg user , fed up and changed to 'avast' it's very good ,I feeel avg is pushing people to pay version.

    Sounds to me like theres a virus on the hard drive
