Working Tax Credit run on

hello everyone!
Can anybody tell me how you qualify for a WTC run on of 4 weeks?
Never heard of them until the other week.

I got two one in december and one in april when my temporary job finished, for 4 weeks i received the money, it made a right mess of housing benefit though so make sure you keep all your wage slips etc

You must work for at least 4 consecutive weeks. When you stop working you would qualify for an additional 4 weeks which is paid in a lump sum my giro cheque. It is supposed to stop you suffering hardship between finding another job or claiming benefits - unfortunately it sometimes takes a while for your run on payment to be processed.

It essentially a nightmare....you finish work get told your entitled to the tax credits run on which is processed manually so It takes around 3 weeks...in the meantime your not entitled to any other benefits...i.e income suport. And ive been told I wont be entitled to housing benefit or school dinners as it is treated as an income. The old way was much better.
