You used to just be able to put in a month and an airport you wanted to depart from and it would give you all the options to all countries. You could even say you wanted to travel from any English airport to any other country. I haven't been on for ages but it looks far more complicated now!

I was on less than a month ago, and it would still do the kind of search you mention, but only if you chose not to do one of the many other searches that it can also do for you. And all for nothing, too.

Try it today its changed completely and is now next to useless, unless i am missing something obvious :mad:

Wow - its even fussy about capitalisation of places... 'manchester' doesn't exist, but 'Manchester' does. I mean, who checks their grammar/punctuation/capitalisation etc in a search box!

Select the whole year option, then go to month - though I do miss the bars

??? that's the default option - all you need is to click "search"

When I type in man (capital or not) it bring up a list of places starting with those three letters?

Thanks for all the feedback about the new Skyscanner site. We know some users have had difficulty with the new site and we will try to answer some of your questions here.

Mel B: This functionality has not changed. You can still search from or to any airport, and still search for the whole month (this is the default setting).

DonieDodo - not quite sure what you mean here. The new search function is not case sensitve. You can type in "man" or "Man" and both will bring up "Manchester".

Please be aware that the new site is a work in progress and we have a number of site upgrades lined up over the next few weeks for features which we weren’t able to include in the launch of the new version.

These include drop down menu style functionality in the search controls to allow you to see direct and indirect destinations, and due to popular demand the horizontal graph views will be reinstated!

We welcome any more feedback that will help us to improve the site - so feel free to contact us or leave more comments here.

I am with the people who do not like the changes. I cannot choose only to have direct flights as my default. Even when I do select direct only flights if I do a refresh page I am back to direct and stops.

Thanks for the feedback. The "direct" default issue has been noted and we are working on a fix for this - so this functionality will soon be returned to the site.
