Outlook Express Problems

Options
I've had to re-set up my outlook express due to problems with my computer.

I can received emails into outlook express but I can't send any out. When I try it comes up with the logon screen asking for user name and password. I've put the correct ones in pressed ok and all I keep getting it the same logon screen again and again and it doesn't work.

I've had problems before with this but this time just can't seem to sort it out. Has anyone got any idea.

I want to receive emails from yahoo into it. I'm pretty basic on the computer so any easy to understand instructions would be greatly received.

Thanks for any help.

I have had same probs as this before, but it usually corrects itself, so I don't have a solution.

Re forwarding from Yahoo, it is quite simple, sign into Yahoo, top right is a drop down box,"Options", click on this, then click on "Mail Options", then click on " POP Access and Forwarding", then put in your e-mail address.

Thanks Derrick. It has sorted its self out. I did have a look at your suggestion about forwarding it from the Yahoo Mail, I'll hopefully remember that for next time.

    Much appreciated.
  • shucks, was hoping someone had the solution to putting outlook back to life after Vista update killed it!!!! (apart from sledgehammer to laptop & buying one with XP, which is very tempting!

If the laptop is newish contact the manufacture and they may give you a free downgrade to XP Pro.

HP did for me and I never even met the requirements for XP Pro.

Worth an Email or phone call.

I had to laugh as XP cost more than I paid for the laptop.
