anti frost mat - any good ??

Hi
Have a couple of freezers in the house - but none of them are frost free and they seem to get frosted over very quickly!!
have seen Anti Frost Mats that you place at the bottom of the freezer in one of the newspapers - for about £12ish!

Just seen same thing in the new Studio catalogue down to £2.50ish. Has onyone every used them and are they any good??

I have two from lakeland and they work quite well.
However, you need to look at where in your freezer your "workings" are, for example these mats lay flat,but the ( inside)"pipes" that get all frozen up with ice are on the(inside) top of one of my freezers,( like a ceiling of pipes) which means that you can only put the mat on the non piped shelf below( is this making sense?)
The ones I have are quite small and don't quite cover the whole shelf, but they were more expensive than the ones you quoted.
I would suggest you first look at how the pipework is laid out within your freezer and then measure up to see how many you would need, £2.50 ish is a good price.
thinking about it I would say that I have been able to leave the defrosting about twice as long as I did before.
