National Express East Coast
Rant on!
I'm just trying to book East Coast Mainline tickets, now run by National Express. When GNER ran this service it received accolades and awards, now it's useless. Wait until fares are released, go to book tickets. Fares available at good rates, choose available fares, booking going fine. Get to mandatory seat booking and comes up saying no seats available on outward trip!
Click continue anyway and two seat numbers are shown in outward trip box - but I need two seats and don't know if they are together!?
Then says no seats available for return - clicking continue produces nothing so you have to go back and search again - why can't it give me alternatives which do have seats? There are about 8 trains I could catch and I'm not going through each one until I find one with seats available.
I could call them, pay a high rate and not get an online discount. I've decided to drive and leave the car at friends just outside London.
