Fencing...

We're moving into a new house in a few weeks and I have to put up some fencing to keep our dog in her own garden (shes only small and likes to investagte things!).
I've got prices on posts, 6ft panels and metpost - £13 for a 6ft x 6ft seems to be the best price.
So does anyone know a cheaper option that this? Either online or nearby (based in cambridgeshire).
Or is there an alternative? We have seen the wire but that seems expensive and is only 3ft high?
Thanks

I was pricing up fencing panels and posts recently and found every place tends to charge the same price - talk about a cartel! Very occasionally No Frills is a quid cheaper but that's all. You can get wire higher than 3ft from farmers supplies places, it would be cheaper than panels but not look as nice and your little dog would be under it and away faster than you could say knife unless you buried the bottom 9 - 12 inches in the soil, especially if it has any terrier tendencies!0

You can get budget panels in Homebase for £9.99 for a 6 x 6 ft. you can further reduce this when Homebase are doing their 10% off days which is usually the last friday in a month.( not really sure of the day). nIf you investigate further, Homebase do also sometimes offer 20% off all fencing on some promotion days.
I think the 20% off all fencing will be your best solution. However I would advise you not to go for their budget panels as the of such por quality that its not worth buying them.0 -
Thanks for the info guys, very much appreciated. Looking at the weather its gonna be tricky to even pu the posts in the ground let alone anything else!!!!0

Using a post fix mix or better still mix your own with some gravel sand and cement is cheaper than MET posts. If your new house is a recently built one and you've still got tradesmen on site, I found the cheapest way to source materials was to get one to add the materials I needed to his next shopping list. I figured out the best price I could get it for and asked him if he could better it for me with his trade account. He did and still made himself a couple of quid.0
