about a month ago i ordered a standard sofabed from www.intosofa.com....
i was tempted by their reasonable prices as you build them yourself.
Straight away you get to pick a delivery date which i believe i selected as 14th August.
about a week later i received a confirmation email and was asked to check everything was ok and that i had ordered the right thing - at which point i changed my mind - emailed straight back (with read receipt attached) and asked to upgrade to a medium one for an extra £30.
no reply.
i called a few days later to receive a recorded message saying they were all on holiday until the following monday but could be contacted by email - i again emailed to reiterate i wanted to amend order (again read receipt attached and read) - no reply.
i called first thing the monday they reopened and was advised that he would check my email and resend confirmation - didnt hear anything.
i called a few days later and was told he would again check my email and call me back.
didnt hear anything.
sent a email advising i was slightly annoyed and then subsequently received email confirming order would be amended, they would take the further £30 and deliver this (tomorrow) emailed straight back to agree to this.
in the meantime the 14th arrives and the standard sofabed turns up - i called intosofa whilst the driver was still here and he confirmed i could send it back and everything was ok re medium.
so i have today telephoned intosofa to check (what with previous mix ups) that everything was ok for tomorrow.....THEN i was told it had been overlooked and it wouldnt be coming tomorrow - BRILLIANT!
sofabed is now (supposedly) being delivered Monday and then he said he actually needed to take my bank details again to take the further £30 - dont know if i expect too much but personally had i been him i might have waived that as a good will gesture!
would have cancelled order but then i would have to wait another 4 weeks from somewhere else and not really many around in my price range.
however, my worry is that if i have had this many probs with a new order- what will customer service be like if there is a problem afterwards?
anybody else have any experiences (good or bad) with www.intosofa.com??

Sofabed turned up Monday.:T
Quality Okay for the money and easy to move around as comes in 4 bits.
Assembeld alone and wasn't too difficult but the instructions could be a little better as the photos were dark and difficult to work out.
Haven't needed any aftercare service so fingers crossed!0 -
good luck with it!!0

Sorry for late replies - i havent logged on in ages!
thanks for the good luck wish spaniel!
and popesock - i hate to admi this but i had to re-read your comment about 10 times before i got it!! the cogs weren't turning fast enough!!
but yes - so far so good!!!
i would recommend that if anyone buys one to probably splash out and get the double reinforced ones (something to do with a cover that goes over the metal fold out thing rather than just the cushions sitting on top)...but yeahs im pleased with it - its comfy and suits us as a spare sofa in the basement!
shame about intial problems otherwise i would have been spreading the word!0
