Hi, i am need of some advice. I went of worl last septmeber. and subsequently put a claim in for my payment protection with axa. They recently made a payment, and are due to make two further payments. I asked them about the charges i have recieved from capital one in regards to late payment and overlimit fees. These have occured since i have been of work ill. They said speak to capital one and they will refund any charges since september.

I have spoke to several people at capital one, without any success. They just dont understand what i am saying.

Is there anything i can do about this, i have also sent a letter recorded, which was delivered on the 15th august, but hey they havnt recieved it.

If you feel you have grounds for complaint against Capital One, I would request a copy of its complaints procedure. This sets out the time limits allowed for dealing with your complaint. The bank is also obliged to confirm the result of your complaint in writing.

You have the right to take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman if you are still not happy.

Capital one should have a dedicated insurance department which would be more likely to help with your query - ask to speak to them directly.
