Totally free £20 bet at Ladbrokes Casino

Options
UPDATE 27 AUG.

As Ladbroke has changed its terms and conditions several times since we wrote this and may continue to change them we've removed it from the weekly email so no one gets caught out.

_____________________

Ladbrokes is giving away a free, no-strings £20 to gamble at its online casino – you don’t even need to give your bank details. There are some nifty loophole techniques you can use, allowing you to play in a way that ups your chance of coming out with free cash.

Gambling isn’t MoneySaving unless it’s with someone else’s money

Normally gambling offers aren’t included in the e-mail, as gambling definitely isn't MoneySaving. Yet this loophole doesn’t involve putting in your own cash or even entering your bank account details (except to withdraw your winnings at the end).

The only MoneySaving way to gamble is to do it with someone else's money. And that's exactly what this tip shows you how to do.

PLS READ THE WARNING AT THE END

How the loophole works

Ladbrokescasino.co.uk is giving away a totally free £20 worth of casino chips, if you sign up before 31 August 2008.

Ladbrokes may close this loophole, once so many people come from the weekly e-mail, so always check nothing’s changed when signing up.

The catch is you can’t withdraw the £20 straightaway …

In order to withdraw the £20 bonus, you have to bet it 10 times. This means if you’re betting £20 each time you have to make 10 bets, before you can withdraw the original £20. If you were betting £2 a time, you’d have to make 100 bets or 40 bets of a fiver.

Certain games, for instance roulette and blackjack, only count 10% towards the turnover requirement. This means if you'd have to bet £20 100 times to before you could withdraw the bonus (read full terms).

… but you can withdraw the winnings

Don’t worry too much about this: while you can’t withdraw the original £20 free bonus, you can withdraw any winnings that take your balance over £20.

For instance, if you win £10 and have £30 in the account, you can withdraw £10 and keep on staking with the original £20. Keep on banking, and you could end up with a decent amount.

If you wanted, you could just smack down £20 on anything you liked, then withdraw the profits if you got lucky.

Update Thurs 28 August: It now only lets you withdraw ONCE. Once you withdraw, you lose your £20 bonus. So you have to take a chance and decide when to remove the cash.

Which game to pick?

For minimum fuss, you could bet on anything you fancy and if you lose, no big deal. However, there’s a way to maximise your chances of coming away with some cash.

The game to pick for this loophole European roulette. If you’ve not played before, the idea is simple: a wheel spins and ball’s released to drop into any one of 37 slots. You win by betting where the ball will land.

Half the slots are red and half are half black. So by betting that either black or red will come up, you’ve got nearly a 50/50 chance of winning (it’s not totally correct because there is one ‘0’ slot, coloured green which means a 1 in 37 chance of losing each time).

As there’s a fair chance of success, keep betting £5, and hopefully your balance will go up to £25 a few times before you lose the original £20 bonus. Withdraw £5 each time that happens, and you should end up with some cash.

Can existing Ladbrokes customers sign up?

The offer’s only open to new Ladbrokescasino.com customers. Yet existing members of Ladbrokes normal spots betting site, Ladbrokes.com, should be able to sign up too; just enter your email and username. View full promotion rules.

Step by step guide to get a free £20
  • Step 1. Sign up for an account. Go to the sign-up page, and register for a ‘real play’ account. Try clicking through a cashback site for a possible extra £5 (more below).

You do not need to give your bank details. After registering, you need to manually go back to the sign-up page and fill in the claim form with your email and username. (Don’t forget this extra step or you won’t get any cash!)
  • Step 2. Wait for the cash to arrive. It takes up to 48 hours for the £20 to be credited to your account. Check by clicking ‘my account’ and going to ‘withdraw’. The casino balance should be £20. Still waiting? Give customer services a bell on 0800 032 1133.
  • Step 2. Place your bets. Obviously at this point you can just take your chances with the £20 and see what you can win (remember you have to play the money through, but can withdraw anything you have above £20 at any point). However, the strategy below ups your chances of getting some of the cash.

Go to the Instant Play casino, and select European Roulette. Once the game loads, bet on black or red by selecting one of the coloured triangles. To increase the stake, keep clicking the triangle. Then hit spin. Before giving it a go for real, it’s worth using the ‘free play’ version.

To maximise your chances of taking the £20, just bet £5 on red or black each time.
  • Step 3. Bank EVERY time your balance exceeds £20.

Make sure every time your balance exceeds £20 you bank the excess. As mentioned, while you can’t withdraw the original £20 bonus until you’ve ‘bet it through’ 10 times (100 times on roulette), you can withdraw any winnings. So every time your account goes above £20, bank the cash straightaway.

It’s possible to withdraw the cash to your current account, but this is fiddly for lots of small amounts. The way around this is to transfer the cash from your Ladbrokes casino account into your Ladbrokes sports account. Then at the very end, withdraw all the dosh into your bank in one go (you don’t need to bet it on sports).

To transfer, click bank. Then go to ‘transfer’ and enter the amount you want to shift from casino to sports (i.e. if you’ve £23, move £3 into the sports section).
  • Step 4. Withdraw it to your bank account

In your account’s withdraw section, there’s a column with the amount withdrawable. Eventually it will show that you can withdraw the bonus too, unless you lose it of course. To grab the cash, simply go to withdraw and fill in your bank account details to get the money (minimum withdrawal is £5).
Plus make a possible extra fiver on top

Even better, sign up via cashback site Wepromiseto you’ve a chance of making £5 cashback on top.

This cashback isn’t guaranteed however, as cashback sites don't always let you combine two offers. It's definitely worth a try.

Cashback sites are specialist websites that list retailers and product providers. They get paid by the retailers if you click through them, but importantly they then give some or all of this cash to you (provided you've registered which is free).

If you're a first time cashback site user, please do read the full Best Cashback Sites article for a full explanation of the pros and cons. Plus to see how the different sites payouts compare use the Cashback Sites Maximiser

PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS TEMPT YOU INTO GAMBLING.

Warning! Remember the reason betting sites do promotions like this is to encourage first time gambler and to tempt you into gambling more often. That is not a MoneySaving thing to do.

It’s likely you’ll enjoy playing the games above and it can be fun, but when you do it with your own money, that ‘fun’ comes at a cost and it can be huge and debilitating if you get a gambling habit.

I know a few people will feel this shouldn't be in the weekly email.

However, as this tip is about screwing the bookies and doesn’t even involve entering your bank account details, I wanted to give people the choice.

I would hate to encourage gambling in general though and think five minutes looking at www.gamblersanonymous.org.uk should help put anyone off.

This deal was originally posted manch235ter – thanks for the awesome spot. This post was created so we could give MoneySavers the full lowdown.

    Hi heskpesk,

Yep, that is totally correct and is a very good way to play it if you want an easier option.

If you did win, you could withdraw the £20, then play the original £20 bonus again - and so on and so on until you lose the original £20. Hope that helps!

Aswell, if you dont want to register your card so that there is no temptation to start gambling, you can collect any winnings from Ladbrokes instore, all you need is your account number and some photographic id.
  • Why was my post deleted

I urge MSE Jenny to take the live links out!!

If people want a simple strategy:
    Play roulette
Bet minimum on red, for my example I will use £1

£1 on red, if it wins you win £2 back...great!!

If it loses bet £2 on red...if it wins you win £4 back = £1 profit (£4-£1 original bet+£2 follow up bet)

If it loses bet £4 on red, if it wins you get £8 back=£1 profit (£8-£1 original bet + £2 follow up bet-£4 follow up bet)

Basically double the stake each time till you win, when it wins move onto the opposite colour, good chance you make profit with this method just make sure you keep transferring anything over £20

Be prepared to send ID if you want to withdraw winnings - they will most likely want to be certain that you are over 18. I'm not sure what they will ask for but a lot of gambling sites ask for copies of debit/credit cards and a copy of your driving licence/passport.

For the same reason its not worth signing up your goldfish ;)

    The site states the following:
*"Chips may take up to 48 hours to be added to an account. You will receive email notifcation. The Bonus cannot be removed from the account until personal banking information has been added and checked by Ladbrokescasino.com"

Does this mean if you add your bank details you can remove the £20 Bonus as soon as its applied?

Also were do you find the European Roulette?? Thanks
