I have poor hand writing to do you want to pick me up on that. i
I i need to write quickly i have to put up with (being dyslexic even though i hate using it as an excuse) it still did not stop me getting 13 GCSE's 9 Grade C and above (I am over 30 so when the exams meant somthing) along with IT and accounting qualifications. Obviously you can understan what i write so you just want to have a dig.
I'm dyslexic too. I'm also over 30, and have a shame-making 10 GCSEs. So what?
However, if you are going to call other people thick, single-cell organisms, etc, it doesn't look great if your messages are hard to understand, which they often are....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Of course, dont try to make yourself feel better I dont class my self as having a disability or anything so you dont have to make out the same (you have your own opinion). If you were dyslexic why would you pick on someone elses spelling and grammar I know i wouldn't.
Perhaps you should have read the other posters comments, but you would not shame them as they match your views. Please read the why is no one positive thread. it may enlighten you.0 -
Neither do I class myself thus. In fact, I think it has real advantages, such as a much better memory.
What I objected to in your posts was not the awful English in itself (although that does make me wince) but the fact that you are quite so rude about other posters' IQs, coupled with the terrible standard of your own writing....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Good memory, Rude, you shoud remember your glass houses coment! I find it quiet offensive you try to make out you have somthing you blatently do not have just to cover your ill judged comments, Shamefull. If you wanted to state I was rude you could have done that but you prefferd to have a go at my spelling and grammar. Who is rude again!0 -
Listen. Mate. It's not really the spelling that is the problem. It's the way you come across on here. Not particularly pleasant, rather obnoxious in fact. I learnt fairly quickly to tone it down a bit (yes, I know its hard to believe), because this forum is a community in some ways.justpurchased wrote: »Good memory, Rude, you shoud remember your glass houses coment! If you mean I am pretending to be dyslexic when I am not, you couldn't be more wrong. I've mentioned it before on these boards, way before your nasty posts....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Look i know, and i think you understand what i am saying from the other thread. Anger is met by anger, you were not sweet and inoccent in your coments but the other poster decided to ignor that.
It as all been a bit of an experiment for me to see how people react, the irony is that i am being told of for doing for doing what yourself and other people do to other posters.
I think we now have a better understanding even though we argued yesterday i bet now we both respect each other has there own view and that either one of us may be wrong (but you could still be right in your own mind).
But without rational debate from both sides no one listens and it becomes a slanging match.(somthing I now hope i have got across)
I love the positive thread it is still dragging people in but thanks for having the time to read and understand.0 -

I would refer you to this first post.

My DH finds spelling difficult and uses the spellcheck.
Bad grammar is a reflection of poor speech habits. If people do not speak grammatically they are unlikely to get a decent job where they have to deal with other people on a professional level.
Poor spelling and grammar may not be a reflection of someone's IQ, but it is an indication that if someone is intelligent enough to get professional qualifications and still uses sloppy speech they fall into one of two categories.
The first is that they are too lazy to bother and the second that they are too arrogant to think that it matters for them.0 -

So why pick on something you know affects you, I commend you for performing so well in literacy, but I can't understand the dig, unless you thought I was just poorly educated. But please read the above reply to mewbie, as you suffer with a trait a lot of people on here do.0 -

I am a Senior Manager (on a week off) How rude are you! Part of being dyslexic is finding it hard to express yourself in the written word. My speech is excellent, my wife is so great at written english (PA) but her grasp of spoken english is no where near my level (and she admits it but still picks at my spelling and gramar.)
On this point i rest my case I will constantly be persecuted untill i come round to your way of thinking. Some of you are not as clever as you think you are!0
