Connecting laptop to Wireless Router

Options
Hi, please be gentle as I am not a computer expert at all. I have just fitted a wireless router to my main computer and now want to add my laptop so that I can use this as well. How do I go about setting up the laptop. It has wireless facilities built in, but I dont' know how to get it to recognise my internet connection.

Thanks.

First thing to do is give details of the router - make and model - and your laptop so people know what equipment you have.

Normally its very simple once wireless is enabled on the router you connect to it using the laptop. The instructions for the router should give instructions on how to enable the wireless. Also make sure you enable the security so that your network is secure.

I've only configured a wireless connection on Vista once while setting up the MIL's new laptop. Was a piece of cake but then I've done it quite a few times before for other machines.

First thing is to get the router's wireless enabled.
