Replacing the ceramic hob on Zanussi cooker

Morning

I need to replace the ceramic hob on our Zanussi electric cooker. The elements seem fine but I've managed to shatter and pierce the ceramic bit itself (long story).

Done some searching online today through a few spares sites but I can't find any.

The Zanussi site directs to a local spares/service company but there's no answer (plus I'd rather order and fit myself).

Any ideas where else I could try? Model is ZCE5000BK.

Cheers
Andy

Thanks majjie, I came across that a little while ago. They reckon it's at least £250 so I think I'm going to bite the bullet and get a new cooker. Doh!

    Cheers

You may actually be covered by your buildings insurance which often includes accidental cover as standard for breaking things like ceramic hobs.

I would recommend following the link on the zanussi website to find your local Service Force company like you have done but keep trying to get through to them (might be busy after the bank holiday weekend) or use the contact form on the service force website. Alternatively try asking Zanussi customer service and see if they can recommend you another repair company.

A new cooker will cost you far more than a repair so i'd try the repair route first!
