  • On the beach written in the in sand is a gread idea, like it.

Ask the Bingo Caller at the amusements to announce it on his/her microphone?

Get one of those small aeroplanes you see at the coast to fly a banner asking her?

You could put the ring in the bottom of a glass of champagne whilst having a meal.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

    one life, live it!

we went out for a lovely dinner and drinks on Valentines Day, and went to Trafalgar Square where he got down on one knee and asked. And then we had to run to the train station to catch the last train home lol.

I did know it was coming though :o As it is a leap year I told him that if he didn't propose by the 29th Feb, then I was going to propose to him. Pressure?? Me??

Good luck :D I love Blackpool, I'm hoping my hens will take me there for my hen night. Howabout, going on the Pepsi Max Big One and proposing at the top of the rollercoaster?? Or right at the point where they take a photo so you can capture the moment?

Alternatively, book a fun night at Funny Girls and get Zoe to help you out!
(for those that don't know, Funny Girls is a fantastic show bar in Blackpool and Zoe is the DJ!)

Advance congratulations Raphael...I'm watching this thread with interest as I'm planning to surprise my g/f... quite when, and how, I can't decide. She's given up hope of me ever asking her (apparently!).

I do have the ring though, bought overseas when on a business trip in December, I've been hiding it ever since!

I quite like the idea of whisking her off to a deserted beach and writing it in the sand... but knowing me the tide will come in and she'll get "il u ry e?" in the sand or something daft :rotfl:

You could pinch MSE Martin's idea and propose using a scrabble board (he must have cheated though to get all those letters:rotfl: ).

My rock idea is a bad one because you have to order loads. So how about a large lollipop and icing it with Marry Me?
  • Hi all, thanks for all the wonderful ideas, I think I will go with the writing in the sand idea, as we will be on Blackpool beach.
I will let you all know how it goes.
