Cheapest flights I can find as Bristol to Barcelona Girona 18th & 25 Sept, work out £60pp. The flights on the 25th are only £10 including taxes, its the 18th that bumps the fares up. Thats with Ryanair. If you could go a bit later you probably would get the flights for £20 pp including taxes eg. 9-16 Oct.0

Don't know how old the kids are and whether or not they'll need entertaining, but currently Ryanair have Liverpool - Milan (Orio al Serio) sept 9th -16th at £20 return each if you can manage with just hand luggage or £44 return if you cant!
I got back from a long weekend at Lake Como last week (less than an hour on the train from the airport) the weather was beautiful as was the scenery, there are boat rides and bike hire for the kids, and if you want to do some serious shopping and sightseeing, Milan is also about an hour away. Not a typical beach holiday I know, but hot and sunny just the same.Wins this year: Jet2 flight (£110). £500 Heart fm. Phil Collins Love songs cd (£5.99)0 -
sounds good, wiil have a look thanks... kids between 7&12 one is in wheelchair so is the area flat enough..... not bothered about beach as son hates the sand. like eating out and couple of drinks(then a couple more:beer: )......main question....will i get a tan!!!! Am thinking of a new one:beer:0

The area surrounding the lakes is very hilly but the towns we visited (with the exception of Bellagio) are pretty flat. We stayed in a town called Lecco, which was lovely for a stroll round in the evening, lots of restaurants (and a McDonalds if the kids are fussy eaters!)
The locals all sunbathe and fish on the edges of the lake and, while I am incredibly pale, even I, through my factor 30 managed to get a tan!
If you do venture to Milan, it is nice and flat too.Wins this year: Jet2 flight (£110). £500 Heart fm. Phil Collins Love songs cd (£5.99)0 -
