Belkin N-Mimo Router Problem

I've just got a new Belkin N-Mimo wireless router (for non-cable connections) as my old Netgear keeps dropping the connection. Having read tons of reviews about how easy to auto-set the Belkin up from a start up disc, I went for a Belkin. The problem is the Belkin router doesn't recognise the internet!!! I know that I put all the cables and bits and bobs in the right places. So now I've had to reconnect the old Netgear one!

Could the Belkin one be faulty??? Be grateful if anyone with technical knowledge could advise me before I take the Belkin back for a refund!
Saving, saving, saving - thank you Martin! :money:
