    Open up Internet Explorer

    then Tools / Internet Options

then under the Programs tab, tick "Internet Explorer should check if it's the default browser"

Now close IE completely and then restart it.

IE should ask if you want it to be the default browser again

I may go back to firefox but i'm not sure its for me --there seems to be too much choice ,Probably better for experienced users, not novices.!Thanks for your help. :T

Firefox can sit quite happily on your system as a backup browser while you use IE as your main browser.
All you have to do is not let Firefox become your default

Or have IEview aswell, I for one am back to FF after tooing and froing
as I just like the feel of as its more fluid, Tabs are especially handy, as I like my
multiple Hompages to open in one go..

IE is a very good browser indeed as long as the correct security is in place
in saying that security should be for all browsers, and if you just ignore the
Anti Microsoft Establishment, all will be fine.

Its just that Fire Fox gives you a lot lot more control.
