Burglar Alarm - which one?

Options
Hi,
I'm considering fitting an burglar alarm; I'm not sure which way to go - wired or wireless?

I've been told that wired would be better?

Is a key fob access system or code access better?

I'm doing alot of work on the house and as part of that its going to be rewired so running cables for an alarm would not be to much of an issue.

I've got 3 external access doors and would like to have these 'covered' and ideally I'd like to have a pet friendly system. My garage is external and is situated around 25ft away from the house.(nice to be linnked in, but maybe not practical)

Many thanks

We have a ADT wired alarm that is serviced and maintained by them, it has a key fob but you can also put in a code to set/unset the alarm, we've never had any problems with it, I think it's just a matter of preference whether you use a fob or key fob. I think I would prefer the wired option if I was you as opposed to the wireless.

PS fortunately it has never had to be used in earnest
