Can't offer any help on return but it may be helpful to know that you need to have the premium bonds for one calendar month before they are entered into a draw. You therefore need to keep the money in an interest-earning account and purchase them towards the end of a month; if you bought them at a beginning you effectively would have to wait nearly 2 months before having any chance of winning. There's no woman sicker than the woman who is sick on her day off !0

You never know, the 1million winner this month only bought their bonds in September i.e. it was the first draw they were in (how's that for a return)
& no, I'm not jealous - not much, well just a bit, ok LOADS...I haven't got one!0 -
My partner has got the maximum aloud and reckons that he gets the same sort of interest that you would get in a reasonable savings account (between 4-5%) - there is ofcourse the added chance of winning the jackpot....... but he hasn't yet. Obviously as we keep visiting Martin's site! Oh, the more you have the more chance of your number being drawn, but I guess that goes as unsaid.0

Worth a go if you're a higher rate tax payer - if you're on standard/no tax rate you need to be luckier than average to make it pay...0
