Quiet + compact fridge/freezer for kitchen/lounge

spaceraiders

My flat has a kitchen/lounge room and the kitchen is a fairly small u-shape. The kitchen only has a under the counter fridge at the moment and I'm missing having a freezer. I can't really extend the kitchen and I need the worktop space I have. If I remove my fridge and a cabinet, I'll have 1.02m of under the counter space. Another important factor is that I don't want a constant loud humming coming from my kitchen when I'm in the lounge area. I found this matching fridge+freezer pair which would fit the space.

The noise level is meant to be 40dB for both. From reading the reevo.com reviews on these though, half the people say they're both noisy and the other half say they're quiet! I'm not sure what to do about how to find out if they're quiet or not now. Does anyone have any ideas of how to find this out? Are there any well known fridge/freezers that run quiet?

Hi SR my mum has a smallish whirlpool fridge freezer, in her kitchen diner, it seems to run quietly, but it is few years old now, so not sure if they are still available. The freezer bit is on top and it doesn't fit under worktop, but is not as big as the normal fridge freezers.Bless Martin's Little Cotton Socks. I thank him for giving us MSE. Look what its grown into!
