free samples for charity?

hi,

which companies are likely to send out "bigger" quantities of samples for a registered charity?

i run the local st john ambulance youth section and we are planning to make little gift boxes with the kids to take home at xmas for parents and were looking at adding a few "beauty smaples" to the boxes as well as sweets etc.

ideas greatful. i have posted on freebies board and have been sent to here.

    Where is the evidence of need in your request? Are the parents particularly disadvantaged - single parents, unemployed, etc? If you can't evidence this, I think you may find it difficult to get anyone to donate to this.
    These products are not going for the benefit of your users, but to subsidise childrens' pocket money.

    Have you tried emailing simple and green people.

    They helped me in a similar project which involved goody bags for people attending a charity event. Just explain what your doing an how many samples you require.

  • Green and blacks were very generous with small bars of choc when I emailed through the school, Even send big bars for us teachers to share!

    Lipcote and haribo have been generous to hen night requests, don't see why these wouldn't to you. Avon are good too
