Neighbour Issue - TV Reception

hi,
a house situated across the road from me has recently had some scaffolding erected to have an additional floor erected on the premises. the scaffolding structure (which has a large amount of metal tubing) is now blocking my tv ariel and hence tv reception, bbc channels are not available at all and itv channels break up frequently. if this was a short term thing i probably would not say anything but it looks like it might take some time for works to be carried out. i intend to speak with the property owner and see if we can try to come to some amicable arrangement.
i was wondering if any forum members could advise about where i stand regards such a situation. thanks in advance.

Its bad for your eyes, it gives very little information and there is way too much advertising.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

What are you expecting the neighbour to do??
Give you some DVD's,
Refund your TV license fee?
Run a cable across the street?0 -
Once the scaffolding is gone will the new building block your reception?
In which case you better start looking at an alternative now0 -
Put your aerial on a taller pole. Ask your neighbour to pay half, and see what he says. It may be unprintable ofc.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

If scaffolding blocks reception then it looks as if your aerial wasn't well placed to start with. You can buy very efficient indoor aerials quite cheaply. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

knowing my luck if i was to do something similar i have people lining up to sue.0 -
Hi
Im afraid you have no legal recourse at all when it comes to blocking signals and you will need to resite your aerial.0 -
i spoke with owner of property who has offered to rectify matter at his expense.
thanks busherareials when i think about it that's probably the easiest way rather than get involved in conflict.0 -
I'm intrigued as to what he is going to do
