Nice one. So you take all the risks, and Arise gets fully trained staff for free. Which they can terminate at any time, as a 'for services' contract generally can be terminated quickly. That's one reason they want you self employed through a limited company. It removes any risk that you could claim that you are actually an employee (as per Cazziebo's post; in some circumstances just both parties saying that there is 'self employment' does not actually matter.)

It really does not sound like a good option to me.
  • I agree that it is not ideal. I however, would very much like to work from home and am prepared to take the risk. I started the super VSC to try and help others who want to work, but do not want to pay money upfront for registering a company etc.

As I mentioned earlier, being employed does not necessarily make working any easier or any better.

    Hi.

I have been reading all the posts regarding working with Arise. I have to say that I have worked for Tele Tech and resigned. I know about 50 people who have done the same, so do not consider being "employed" to be the deciding factor.

If anyone is interested, I have been in meetings with the Senior management of Arise and people can join my VSC. If you join Arise by Thursday (11/09/2008) then the course fees are waived. You would still be self employed, but you will not be required to set up your own company.

Contact me if you are interested.

Hi i am interested, let me know what to do, thanks jennifer

Hostess, are you thinking that if people join your VSC you won't be employing them, be careful that you are not deemed to effectively be their employer if you own the company.
  • Hi, Please can you let me know more information about working with Arise Ltd, without having to go incorporation route.
  • Hi all

I am also very interested in joining the vsc so if anybody has any further info then please get in touch!
  • has anyone started working for arise if so whats it like?? still thinking of joining but wants an idea of what going on
    thanks
  • Hi,
I joined last week and done all the online tests and checks etc..

I am doing the initial training at the minute and then I have been told i can start the actual 'company' training next week as they do have a course starting monday. I have not had to pay anything at all as the fee's at the moment have been currently waved. During the training it shows ou how you can select your hours in their system which is great because you can work half an hour have half an hour break or simply do as you like between 7am-midnight.. Thats as far as i have got at the minute.
