Please help!!
A friend has asked me to design a poster for his business. Needs to be about 16 x 20 eyecatching and have some graphics as well as product/company/contact details. Is there any free software that could help, (not very techie). Or do I already have anything that I don't know about IYKWIM  . Running Vista and have Office/Word 2003.
TIA

Get the free trial of Quark, it's industry standard so you can do no better. Just find out what specifics the printers will need before you start0

I think for you the steep learning curve involved and the time frame you have and no software to hand your friend may have meant to use your creative skills on paper..?0

Serif PagePlus is quite simple to use. You used to get older versions free on computer mags, but I see that you can get their basic version free from the Serif website. <there's also other free software on the site>

Many thanks for this...have been having a play with it....:T0 -
Your first step would be to get in touch with whoever's printing it and find out what type of files they need from you.
MS Publisher is a possible option, if you have it in with Office, but it's clunky and it's anything but guaranteed that your printer will like it.0
