Help I need DRI memory either 1G or 2G???

Options
I have been asked to buy a friend DRI memory either 1G or 2G to send abroad. Before I go looking for this...
1. Is this all the information I need from him?
2. Where is the best place to get it (I need it by Friday)?

Thanks in advance...I haven't got a clue...

Unless there's a hole in my knowledge (always possible and even likely), you may want to ask what "DRI memory" actually is. I've never heard of it and all I can think of is that they meant DDR1 as opposed to DDR2 and so what they actually meant was DDR memory. But I'm just guessing and assuming.

find out the PC motherboard details if possible. then you will be able to find out the exact memory required.

Where would they find the PC motherboard details - would it just be on the back on the box/on the bottom of the laptop? Or would they have to take it apart?

Tell them to try Belarc advisor. http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

Copious amounts of info about the computer without having to go near the PC case. (including motherboard and RAM type etc).

That doesn't actually mean anything. We need actual model number of the computer or a model of the motherboard. Generic manufacturer and year could mean absolutely anything. We still can't even tell if it's a laptop or desktop.

You can send them to this link: http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz_146.zip
Once downloaded, double click and them double click the .exe file within and they will have the memory info at their fingertips.

    I guess PC3200 DDR-400 400MHz 200 pin RAM,but I could be wrong. :)
