Natwest student account: how long?

Hey all

I applied online for a student account, does anyone know how long the whole process will take until i can start using the account?

    Do you need to go into a branch to show ID?

    I applied online once had no reply for 2/3 weeks so I applied again online and got a reply in about a week.

    My son opened his in the branch, showed his ID and was given the account numbers and welcome letter straight away.

    did you note down the reference number that came up at the end of applying online?
    you should give them a call.

    I got the paperwork to fill in two days later after filling out the online part

    They do the checks after receiving these forms and seeing the ID - I might have to go into the branch to do this - does it still count as applying online if you do this?
