I would like to use my slow cooker to save money by cooking in bulk for the freezer but you have now got me wondering if it might be a no no ...

If I leave a slow cooker on for 6/7 hours what do you estimate that it will it be costing please.

Slow cookers use about 200W when heating, but the thermostat switches them on and off. I would estimate less than 1kWh (about 12 pence) for 7 hours.

You can get tunble dryers with a heat exchanger where the hot air going out is used to warm the cool air coming in. A condensing tumble dryer will operate in a similar way with the warm air being blown into the room (not outside) then reused. Get a tumble dryer with a moisture sensor so it will switch itself off when the clothes are dry instead of using a timer which can end up drying clothes that are already dry.
