Clearing Cookies but saving useful ones

Options
I know I can clear all cookies in Internet Explorer by using Tools but is it possible to just clear the rubbish ones and save the useful ones for future use?

Comments

  • The way I do it is to open Windows Explorer and navigate to c:\Documents and Settings\your login name\cookies and then manually delete the ones you don't want.

If you hold the Ctrl key down as you click on the cookies you will be able to select a bunch at a time then press and hold Shift then hit the Delete key to zap them without putting them in the Recycle Bin.

If you want them to be transferred to the Bin then don't hold the Shift key down.

wade, no it's not...download from filehippo.com, install, and follow the holy one's advice (that's MR Browntoa to us mere mortals ;))...that'll sort you.

In fact, here's the link to where you need to be....

    http://www.ccleaner.com/download

click on download from filehippo, then on the next page, look for the big green arrow near the top-right of the page, next to a message saying "download latest version", that's the link you need. HTH
