How long are people getting in terms of use before charge?
Was just wondering as I think I'm getting about 2.5 - 3 hours on it, but that is with wireless on.
Is that about right or a bit too little and something to contact Dell over?
Thanks

You will be hard pressed to find a laptop with better battery life than this. About 2 hours is the average I believe, plus the 6000 (which I also have BTW
) is designed more as a portable desktop replacement than a real "mobile" laptop (i.e. for use on the move).
I wouldn't recommend contacting Dell as really, that is above average.0 -
Cheers. The only reason I queried it was because the quotes for battery time were saying about 4 hours, but I'm guessing that is without wireless running."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

Four hours would probably be without anything running! Laptops all seem to have appalling battery running times.pin wrote:The only reason I queried it was because the quotes for battery time were saying about 4 hours, but I'm guessing that is without wireless running.
There was an interesting survey by a mobile phone company recently in the paper - they asked people what features they wanted and overwhelmingly people didn't really care about cameras, WAP, email, mp3 ringtones and the like and just wanted better batteries!0
