Whose money is it?

Hello,

It's my first post and I hope someone will be able to give me some advice.

Something unbelievable has happened to me...

One night I went to a cashpoint and found all of a sudden I had a bigger bank balance, meaning thousands of money has been credited into my account (gift of money:tax free!). (This was so timely since I've decided that I was going to accumulate money two weeks before.)

Anyway, I asked the bank where it came from and it looks as though it didn't come from a shop or company but an individual who BAC'd me. My bank only knew the date the credit came in, how much and which building society it came from but no name. I understand if it is a bank's mistake then they can take it back if I sign a document or something. But I'm not sure if it is.

So my question is: Is the money in my account mine? If not, when will I be able to claim as the rightful owner of that money?

  • No, it's not yours. Don't go spending it either because it will be investigated, and if you've spent it then you let yourself open to a being charged with theft and possibly prosecuted.

Leave it, don't touch it, it will be sorted out soon.

How would you feel if your money went missing, it's not "just one of those things"..

It certainly sounds as though someone has made a mistake , maybe with the Acc No..... and at some point they will realise this money has gone somewhere it was not meant to go... so its best to just forget its there for the mean time...
that is unless someone you know has your bank acc details and has decided to give you a present?

  • I haven't spent it. It's earning interest nicely.
If I made a mistake, I'd enquire about it but it hasn't been. That's why I'm thinking it was donated to me especially I asked for it to the wonderful universe and it came.

Funny how these things only happen to new posters !

Move it/spend it at your own peril. Take 5 minutes to google it and you'll soon see why.
  • Sorry, I'm clueless that's why I'm asking a question here excel1966. What exactly should I google for?

Do you mind, if I tried as well?

Who is your contact - Any particular person up there???
  • Hi bengal-stripe,

I've used hypnosis to attract wealth into my life. After that l used something called the "law of attraction" and all I did was ask and it was given. It sounds simplistic and it happened. Funny enough, while I've been thinking (focusing) about this money situation, my phone rang and one of my clients asked me what to do with £20K that was credited into her account (this one is definitely bank's error). I told her that similar things has happened to me and she couldn't believe it.

I'm thinking, even if that ends up not being my money, it's nice to have seen fat figure for a change.
  • Hi bengal-stripe,

The last time I tried using hypnosis to attract something into my life, it ended up sitting in court accusing me of taking advantage of it. Not doing that crap again, thanks.

    (Yes, I'm joking.)
