I've been to the center parcs at Nottingham, and wondered if all the parcs are similar eg do they all have a pool with rapids, that start outside and finish inside??? Has anybody been to different parcs and have a preference?

Longleat have rapids as you describe and is our fave village, but it is hilly with some villas a long way from the swimming poolor sports and many don't like that. Longleat also has a fabulous spa.0

Longleat and Elveden have similar facilities to Sherwood, outside rapids and tunnels, slides. Whinfell has tubes but does not have bigger outside rapids like the others (as it was previously a rival company Oasis).
They all have Aqua Sana spas and equal sports facilities. Elveden does have a small golf course. All have outside activities too (high wire adventures etc..)
Elveden is much flatter and mainly set around a central village like Sherwood. Longleat is set over 2 main sites and a very large hill separates them. Whinfell is on an incline but some parts are flatter.
Longleat has great swimming rides and cave slides. Sherwood is the only one with the grand canyon ride.
Whinfell has lodge style villas which are brilliant.
The food outlets are pretty standard now, although I believe that Whinfell has the only Chinese restaurant.
The fine dining restaurant at Elveden is rotating overlooking the lake.
All have their advantages and dis-advantages but overall they are all great, it just depends on what type of accommodation you want and site layout.0
