    Yes, there's no reason why he couldn't do that providing the dealer accepts two forms of payment which I would think is probable.
    They have the right to accept/decline payment in any way they so choose.

    An American Express (or any other) charge card won't.

    Even though we are both correct on this, you shouldn't just take our word for it, but should double check and base your final decision on all the info you've gathered.

    It would be irresponsible of anyone to base a financial decision solely on what they've read on a public forum.

    I do agree, but on this forum when someone posts information that is less than accurate there is usually a queue of people waiting to jump in and correct them ;)

    Yes it does, Section 75 protection is worldwide.
