    AVON runs on a 3 weekly basis and commission is 76.00 20% and 144.00 25% :T
You get the first 2 camps of books provided to you and you buy your own thereafter.
  • Betterware gives you 20% of every order. You don't pay for anything and they give you a set area.

You dont get the first 2 campaigns free, they add £7.50 to your first 2 orders as payment for the books. In my opinion Avon isnt really worth it at all. unless your really able to put it all the hours and hardwork of writing out the forms sorting through all the books, processing orders. when your order arrives they come in a huge box and nothing is packed properly so you have to put allll the lids back on everything!! if your not going to order anything from avon and your going to deliver a shed load of catalogues then it may possibly be worth it, but it is knackering and tiring work.

Thats only a one sided view really, I am not trying to sign you up to AVON I might add, just give the details, Yes there is a £15.00 admin charge, this isnt for books, this is admin to set the account up and for any problems you may have during the life of the contract as such with AVON<
I have never had an problems with deliveies, yes they come in medium sized, (NOT large boxes) I am only a 5'2 woman and can easily cope with 2 or 3 boxes in my arms... and out of maybe 150 items ill have to put 2 lids that are already sealed by other means on - so lots?? No...
I use stamps aswell which you can pick up cheap in LIDLS for my forms so it takes an hour to stamp up about 3 months worth...
You can also just promote AVON to family and friends or do some territory - if the case you will get some local territory to your house and to start with it wouldnt be more than 80 - 100 houses in order for you to make yourself known and build up a customer base.
Isnt it true of the above two companies that you can go anywhere i.e no territory is givn therefore you run the risk of going onto someone else patch and viceversa they can come onto yours?? ANd do they not pay for books either??
Again the above is my opinion - I have bee with AVON for over a year now and have been nothing but happy with my outcome, customers and income x:money:
  • im with avon and have been for 3 campaigns and am really enjoying it... i havent
earnt masses... this campaign is my best so far and i will get just under 100 quid profit approx.
but as I ahve been job hunting recently, i rang for more details on an advert that said 'magazine distribution earn 10 per hour'. when i got the info back it was kleeneze.
i think the guy whos ad it was, must have been some sort of team leader and was advertising for more people to be part of his team.
when i told him I already do avon, and wasnt about to leave them -- or do another catalogue company att he same time he went on saying how kleeneze was better.. although he didnt rally know anything about avon...
does anyone know how the earnings work with kleeneze as I am curious, if its the same as avon i cant see how you can earn as much as they say you can unless you have loads of people under you...

Betterware is the only one where you don't have to lay out any money at all, ever!

Avon costs you and so does Kleeneze. Therefore being MSE go for Betterware.

I do not work for Betterware buy the way. I only err more in their favour, as I don't see why you should lay out for books that will get rained on, thrown out and become out dated in a matter of weeks.

No brainer really. The work you'll need to put in will be the same, just different products.

As the above posters say it depends on what you want to earn and if you are willing to pay for catalogues or not.

With Kleeneze you earn 21% of the orders and then an extra bonus depending upon the total of orders you do in a 4 week period, but you do have to pay for the cat's and you don't get an area. Basically you go where you want, so you run the risk of coming across other distributors, although we all know the situation and you WILL still get orders as more than likely they will be just dropping to their customers only.

As far as I know with Betterware you just earn the 20% from your orders and that's it however you do get a fixed area which can be good or bad as you cannot move out of the area if it's rubbish but you'll have no competition from other Betterware distributors but maybe from Kleeneze distributors.

The other posters have told you about Avon so it's swings and roundabouts they all have their good and bad points as they say and you make your own mind up, obviously as you can tell I do Kleeneze so I am biased, cheers, Pete.
  • the thing that is differnet with avon is you are allocated territory so you get roads where no one else is doing it where as betterware and kleeneze from what i understand you can go where you like so you may find someone already doing it - i get at least 3 betterware and 2 kleeneze catalogues throgh my door from differnt people - i think with all these it depends on how much time you put in as to how much money you earn and yes building a team makes you money but its hard work to start with and takes a while to get you into profit

That wasn't my experience. There are two types of Avon reps when I was doing it - "friends and family" who just sell to people they already know and reps who are given a territory.

A "friends and family" lady had already covered most of the streets I was given and claimed all her customers were her friends. I was left with a couple of streets of aged miners cottages where old ladies would buy an odd bubble bath or a soap. I wasn't able to hit the minimum order levels with their orders, so it ended up costing me to do it as I wasn't getting any commission but still had to buy the books, stationary etc.
Here I go again on my own....
  • obviously everyone has different experiences with these companys but i guess with all you get out what you put in - i have been with avon for 3 years and love it and now have a team of my own - as for territory if you are unlucky enough to get territory where someone else is covering it in friends and family you just ask your manager for more!
