IE and Firefox won't open but Opera will!

I have no idea what is wrong but I can open Opera but not IE (my usual browser) or Firefox. I have just added new speakers to my PC and now my Autoplay won't work either. With that and the IE problem, can some kind MSE'r give me some advice, please.

    try rolling back with system restore: has saved my bacon many a time:)

    Not sure how much more I can explain. IE and Firefox just won't open, no pages come up on IE and Firefox just nothing happens.. I might try the system restore as advised in the third post.

    Firfox just won't open and IE will open but unable to load pages. I now have bad interference ( on my new speakers) when I go from page to page on the web.

    Sorry to look thick but can someone advise me how to do a system restore, please.

    ....and if it doesn't sort the problem, then try running system restore in safe mode:)

    Thanks to all for advice! I did a system restore and all is well. I remember that my problem started when I did a Firefox update.
