Thanks loads for everyone's good wishes.

Just a quick update as Wildr hasn't had time to post himself yet.

Court went very well, in and out in an hour with no problems. He's booked in for a telephone interview with the OR next Thursday morning (4th) so just waiting for that now.

Am sure Wildr will fill you in on the details when he has time to get at a computer!

Thanks again for all your help and advice :)

    Wow!

thanks to you all for your best wishes - it really does mean a lot.

i was amazed how quickly and smoothly it all went and how friendly and helpful the clerk of court was. I really had expected to have to explain the ins and outs of all my issues with the Child Support Agency and other creditors, but apparantly the Judge was impressed with how thorough my form was. Had literally a 2 minute interview with the OR who was also very helpful and then spoke with another OR today to organise another telephone interview as my better half mentions above - she was also very friendly and helpful (the OR I mean, although my other half is of course WONDERFUL!).

In all, I do feel as if the proverbial weight has (almost) lifted and I've spoken with a couple of the creditors already and that has been less stressful and confrontational than I expected.

I will update how things go after the next interview, but as it's my other halfs birthday on the 5th, I may not get chance to post until after then.

Again, thanks for all the guidance, support and wishes - I will ensure that I do my best to give others here the benefit of my experiences and any support I can offer in future!

Just a quick update - had arranged to have an OR telephone interview, but being concerned that I wouldn't be able to explain without saying "look at this statement/letter" I requested a face to face and the OR was very accomodating.

Interview took 1 hour 30 minutes, and focused mainly on the situation with regards to the property that Mrs W and I have now vacated (waiting for Northern Rock to take the keys back) and the reasons I went BR (long term sickness affecting earning power and huge bill from CSA - £25K - due to their inefficency). She was quite positive about the situation and didn't really forsee any issues for us (fingers crossed).

Also took the opportunity to go and open a bank account with the Co-Op and hopefully now we can start to plan the rebuilding of our lives!

Anyway, it's Mrs W's birthday tomorrow and although I've not been able to buy her much, hopefully she'll be pleased with what I got her.

    Night all, take care.
