BT 12 month contracrt help

hi all,

i recently (stupidly), signed up to a bt 12 month contract for my line rental basic 10.50 with free evening and weekend calls, i wanted to get o2 broadbnd for 7.50 hence paying toltal of 17.50 for both, to my amazement i found that o2 is not avalable neither is sky, if i want either of these i have to pay 17.50, cause they are otside the coverage and offer me an alternantive access package, no cable in my area either
i now cant cancel bt, so need a cheap broadband offer, where is the best place ofr broadband, and can i join someone who will also take over my call charges but i continue to pay bt for the line rental?

thaks for help

You may be in a contract with BT for calls so you better check first before moving (CPS) them.

You could look at Heinz advice but like I said you may have a years call contract so may not be able to do everything in the list but you could still do some of it.

    Heinz '7-steps' cost reduction

As for an ISP, well you pay's your money and takes your chance and it depends on what you want it for so i would rather not get into that discussion.

The BT Free Evening and Weekend Call Package is a 12 month renewable/rolling contract ,if you cancel the call package during the minimum period a termination charge will apply. Probaly your best bet is to use www.18185.co.uk for peak geographical and mobile calls and BT for any other calls.

    Cheap Broadband is discussed here.

And as it is a ROLLING contract, you should perhaps ask for the earliest date when you can give NOTICE of cancellation, and the date for termination of service without penalty. Without these 2 dates, you'll be flying blind!

There's no contract in terms of CPS, regardless of the package on the line you can have CPS on your line.

Just as long as it is only CPS.
If saved £2710 and only spent the interest (Based on a return of 5%), you would have enough money to pay your TV Licence every year. Saving you £7452.50 over a period of 55 years, based on you buying a license from the age of 20 until your 75 at a cost of £135.50.
