Xbox (old black one) in japanese!!!??

Hi,

I was given an Xbox and when you turn on this Xbox everything comes up in Japanese!!!! is there a way of turning it to english??? or should i just put it back on freecycle?

What comes up in japanese? Is it an error message? Can you play any games on it?

You should be able to change the language in the dashboard, although I'm guessing you'll have to do it "blind"!

Well i got it free with no games so i dont know if games play on it or not. If you just turn it on with no game it in writing comes up in japanese...dont ask me what it says! The only things in english are A and B. Ive tried pressing both but it just comes up with more japanese writing.
