Virgin Prepaid Card - Question

I wanted to register a Virgin prepaid card for paying parking fees which one can do through use of a mobile phone. A card must be registered and then all parking charges are deducted from the registered card.

Two Questions

1. Can the Virgin prepaid card be used in this instance?

2. I understand that there would be a 2.9% commission levied on all transactions/purchases, but is there a minimum commission amount?

I ask because I may have single parking payment transactions which may be as low as 50-70p. In which case would the commission be 2.9% of say 70p ie 2p.

Many thanks for any info provided

Cheers

From what I understand i would think 1. Yes and 2. No.

I think you would be better with the new Paypal prepaid card.

    The link is https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Marketing/general/PPTUCHome-outside

Although there is a £.95 purchase fee there are no monthly fees or transaction fees in the UK. And if you topup by Paypal it is free.

Many thanks for the reply nathanp..

I would prefer to avoid Paypal altogether for a number of reasons. If the Virgin card can work for me, I would rather go for that one.

    Cheers
